Christmas Pajamas and Santa Clause is Coming to Town

Last night all the grand kids came to eat dinner in their Christmas Pajamas and watch Santa Clause is Coming to Town. It takes alot of patience to get five children still enough to take a photo!

I told the kids that I had contacted the North Pole and Santa was sending them an "Elf on a Shelf". I heard about this from my nephew's wife Lindsay and she said that it has been working wonders on their daughter Ellie. Your Elf starts out on a shelf and watches how you behave that day and after you are fast asleep at night, he makes his way back to the North Pole to report to Santa how you are doing. The next day when you wake up, your Elf will be in a different spot in the house for you to find. I explained this to the kids and Kaylie announced very serious,

"I DON'T WANT ONE"!!!!!!!!!!

Harlen and Micah's First Trip to the Deer Lease

Thanksgiving weekend we went ahead and made our annual trip to the deer lease.

This was Harlen's and Micah's first trip and were good babies. At least we didn't

get kicked out of our Hotel!

First Day of School

This year Wade entered into the First Grade, Hayden started Kindergarten and Kaylie is in Pre-K 4.

Wade's First Deer

Wade was able to hunt this year and got his first doe.

Finally my Halloween Post

It took me a while to gather all the photos!
I really missed Wade and Kaylie coming to Nana's house to Trick or Treat, but how could I compete with this? I seriously would want to celebrate Halloween like this if I was a kid!
They were at their deer lease in Dayton. Someone's grandpa pulled a trailer with 26 kids on it, and they "trick or treated" at all the deer stands posted by parents with loads of candy! Now seriously who could pass that up. And note the accessories that Kaylie added to her Mermaid Princess costume. Don't you think the camoflauged jacket and rubber boots just add the right touch?? I think it is the cutest ever!

Micah is one month old today

Miss Micah is one month old today. Aunt Debbie do you recognize the dress that I am in??

It's the same dress that you bought for my Mommie 31 years ago!

Drama MaMa and Hubba Bubba

We decided that these nicknames suited them quiet well.

Ma & Pa Kettle

Harlen and Micah had there first sleep over at Nana's house, Mommie's were mandatory! All the men in the family are at the deer lease. Unfortunately Nana was too tired to be a participant in the slumber party festivities and the "late night snacks" or bottles! I chose Mayble as my bed partner, but she was sound asleep on the couch when I went to bed so I even left her in the living room.

Ready for my little gobblins.

We decorated the yard for Halloween this past weekend. Now all we need are our little ghost and gobblings. We will be carving pumpkins this Sunday. That's always a good opportunity for some good pictures. I will never forget Kaylie gagging when she saw the insides of the pumpkin when she was about 2 years old.

He will be a pro before we know it

I ran across this picture of Hayden. I think he was 23 months old. This was under the Christmas Tree and he knew exactly what it was and just what he could do with it.

Then in a blink of an eye three years later when he is only FIVE, he gets this from Santa Clause.
He was so little that his feet didn't touch the ground, but he got on it and rode it on Christmas Day. Bub would hold him up and get him started, and when he would get tired he would pull right up to his Dad and he would help him get off. This little boy has no fear and makes this Nana's heart skip a few beats!

Because every 9 day old baby girl needs a tutu

Micah came to Nana & PaPa's house for the first time on Sunday. I had found a new baby store in Atascosita and found the cutest things.

Kaylie & Wade

Kaylie sang at Chapel last Tuesday. She sang her little heart out and I was so proud of her.

Wade got off the bus yesterday and I thought he must have gotten the Latour gene that makes them prone to wearing plaids and striped together. He had on brown plaid shorts with a blue and green striped shirt. One white sock and one orage sock. I didn't think to take a picture, but my first thought was Dad! Turns out that it was mis-match day at school. Today he got off with a camoflauged shirt and camo slippers.

10 Lbs Now

Jennifer took Harlen to the doctor last week. She suspects that he has reflux. She prescribed Zantac and it does seem to be helping a little. She said it may take two weeks to see the full effect. He is getting so big and has started cooing a little.

They are home

Baby Micah made it home yesterday about 4pm. She met Mayble who could have cared less, except that her Mommy was home.
She has the Latour appreciation of food and when Jeana goes to burp her, she sucks the dribbled formula off her bib. She sounds like a little pigglet.

# 5 is Here and it's a ..............

GIRL!!!!!! She is tiny and beauiful. She was born October 9th, 2009 (Aunt LaLa's Birthday too) at about 2:40. She weighs 6lbs. 12 oz. and is 19 1/2 " long. Her hair is sort of light brown.

Her name is Micah Julianna McCall.

Jeana ended up having a regular birth instead of the c-section at the advise of the doctor on call and she did an absolute fabulous job. She labored a total of almost 30 hours.

It has been a long and hard road for them to get their reward today and the emotions at the hospital today showed all of our thankfullness for such a smooth but long delivery.

Pheefer acting goofy.....imagine that!

MAKE LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO WALMART....BUT DON'T!!

Well Cathy's directions reminded us about the time Dad was giving directions and this is what we got....."Make like you're going to Walmart.....but don't". Part of her directions referred to crossing a pontoon bridge. Okie dokie.......we crossed a small bridge and I told Gina that must be it, and she said surely not.....wouldn't there be a sign that said Pontoon Bridge? Sure enough up the road we saw the sign. We took this picture on our way out. Gina thought that's where they launched the pontoon boats! It turns out that the bridge is on pontoons and it actually floats. One lane and very scary to cross! The rest of her directions consist of following another road "to the woods".

Well we made it and it was very much worth the drive. We had a wonderful visit and it was so good to see everyone.

THIS IS SOOOO WRONG!!!

I bought "the just in case it's a girl outfit" this weekend while I was in Lake Charles. I just couldn't resist trying the bonnet on Harlen. He wasn't a willing participant and the picture proves it. Nana's sorry!

kAYLIE AND HARLEN

Yesterday Kaylie held Harlen for the first time. She was a little apprehensive about it and suggested that she may drop him. I told her that she could sit on the couch and she would be fine. Jennifer asked her the other night if she wanted to take him home with her. She didn't miss a beat and matter of factly told Jennifer "no you can keep him"

I'm one month old today

Today is Harlen's one Month Birthday.

He is getting bigger and smiles all the time.

Every once in a while he will even giggle

in his sleep!

This is what you get when you have a baby and turn 40 in the same month!

Pheefer's 40th birthday party was this Saturday and I just couldn't pass up this opportunity to rib him just a little! On one side of the walker was everything for the baby and on the other side was everything for the old Geezer! Hayden has been watching me build this for over a week, so notice his face in the picture where Pheefer is opening it.

All kidding aside, I know Pheefer will be an awsome Dad and can't wait for the Lil' fart to get here!
